Vefir – call for test knitters!

Vefir is ready for being tested!

Vefir (in Icelandic: webs) jumper was inspired by the intricate geometry of spider webs. The pattern combines simplicity of 2-colors stranded knitting with softness and warmth of Plötulopi – Icelandic unspun wool that seems to be fragile at first glance but in fact remains resilient and functional, as a spider web.

Recommended wool:  Plötulopi (100gr plates = ~300m), 2 strands worked together

The main color is made of 2 strands of the same color (2 strands of color A). The pattern color is made of 2 strands of 2 different colors (1 strand of color B + 1 strand of color C) worked at time which makes a bit of shady effect.
If you prefer, for the pattern color instead of using 2 strands of different colors you can use 2 strands of the same color as well.

I highly recommend using Plötulopi (or other unspun wool with the same characteristics) for the test knit to keep track of the wool quantity used for the project. If you can't or don't want to use  Plötulopi you can still take part in the test knit, but let me know which yarn you would like to use.

Knit a sample in a round and change your needles size if needed.
